Fire Protection
Whitney Fire District will provide fire protection for The Cliffs. Skyline Development has committed to provide the land, building and equipment for the station. Additionally, the company will set a precedent by subsidizing operations and maintenance costs of this fully-staffed station until the local tax base is sufficient to ensure a stable funding source.

In addition to being a part of Whitney Fire District, the design of The Cliffs will include several other fire protection measures:

• Native vegetation that is more fire resistant than ornamental plants typically found in developments will be planted next to the open space.
• An overall design that will qualify The Cliffs as a “Fire-Wise Community.”
  

Domestic Water
United Water Idaho will supply domestic water.

Water Reclemation
Using highly advanced Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) technology, wastewater will be collected and treated on site to a level that exceeds the current quality of the Boise River. The treated water will be used to fill ponds and sustain restored habitat in the growing season. This reuse of water is the key to habitat restoration because currently no water source exists on the property.
