SKYLINE SCHEDULES INFORMATIONAL NEIGHBORHOOD MEETING FOR THE CLIFFS

BOISE – Boise-based developer, Skyline Development Inc., has scheduled an informational meeting for the neighbors and interested public concerning its plans for the proposed planned community, The Cliffs. Last month, Skyline announced preliminary plans for the 1,200-1,400 home residential neighborhood/ commercial development to be built on 707 acres of privately-owned property above the Black Cliffs in Ada County near the intersection of Idaho 21 and Warm Springs Boulevard. At least half of the property will be set aside as contiguous open space, the majority of which will be designated as restored habitat for wildlife.

DATE: Thursday, February 9, 2006

TIME: 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

LOCATION: Trail Wind Elementary School
3701 E. Lake Forest Drive

Interested neighbors and members of the community are invited to come, learn about the project through interactive displays, ask questions, and visit one-on-one with the development team and consultants to the project. Those unable to attend this meeting may contact The Cliffs at info@thecliffsidaho.com or call Candy Miller at 863-3001. Project details are also available on-line at www.thecliffsidaho.com.

Background:
Skyline expects to submit its application to Ada County for The Cliffs by early spring. The proposed planned community would set aside more than half of its land for open space and wildlife habitat restoration. Twelve- to fourteen-hundred homes would be clustered around and buffered from wildlife habitat, far exceeding the habitat preservation requirements of any local governments. Accommodations would be made for hikers, bicyclists, rock climbers and other recreationists.
The family comprising Skyline Development, a 38-year-old home-grown Idaho business, has developed and designed more than 15 Treasure Valley neighborhoods with well over 5,000 home sites, including The Hickories, Vienna Woods and Rockhampton. About 15,000 people valley-wide live in Skyline neighborhoods.
