Statement from Tucker Johnson regarding Ada County Planning and Zoning recommendation for project approval:

“We are extremely pleased by the commission’s decision tonight to recommend approval to the Board of Ada County Commissioners for The Cliffs planned community. This is a complex project that has taken a great deal of time and diligent hard work.

“Chairman John Tomkinson gave great validation for our efforts when he stated ‘This is a great application…a great developer who has gone over and above to meet and exceed the requirements.’ Several other commissioners made similar comments about the excellence of the plan – including a comment from Frank Martin that ‘This is state of the art for a PC (planned community) of this size…it’s a very good plan.’

“We’ve made every effort to create a plan for a community that the Treasure Valley will consider a true gem for generations to come. And, it’s clear that the Planning and Zoning Commission recognizes that.

“Our work is far from over. As the commissioners voiced some concerns regarding traffic and wildlife. We are in fruitful discussion with both the Idaho Transportation Department and the Idaho Fish and Game Department to identify workable solutions and anticipate resolution on both issues prior to action by the Ada County Board of Commissioners.”
